I want to share with you some of the different types of entertainment on the Norwegian Epic. There is something for everyone!
The Blue Man Group perform 3 different nights at 7:00 & 10:00. The show is just as professional as seeing it at any other venue. It is very funny and entertaining. There is a meet and greet after each show. Bring your cameras for pictures after the show!!
The Second City Improv group performs a show called Overboard which depicts life aboard the Epic. They also do a show called ‘Living in America’. They also give improv workshops on an at sea day.
The Cirque Dreams & Dinner show has amazing performers where every seat is a good one. Try to get in line early though for the best seats. Tickets are $25 or premium seats are $35. I think the extra $10 is worth being right in front of the performers. Shows are 5:45 and 9:00 and will fill up, so book early.
Legends in Concert perform 3 or 4 nights. Famous performer look alikes give incredible shows. Usually there are 3 performers. When I was on the Epic, I saw Steven Tyler, Madonna, and Elvis. They did an awesome job. The Legends in Concert is the same show that is found in Las Vegas. At least one performer changes at least every 3 months. There is a meet and greet after each show. Shows are at 7:00 and 9:30. Sometimes performers also play in the Manhattan room around 9:30 so watch the daily schedule.
Howl at the Moon plays on multiple nights from 9:00pm until 1:00am. The show consists of two dueling pianos. There is also a drumset that sometimes a 3rd person will play. Sometimes a harmonica is played. The audience requests songs. There is a lot of audience participation!
One sea day towards the end of the cruise, there is a ‘Meet our Captain & Senior Officers’ presentation. The captain, hotel manager, entertainment manager, and chief engineer speak about their experience and then answer questions from the audience. Very interesting!
One sea day towards the end of the cruise, there is a ‘Meet the Men Behind the Blue’. Three members of the Blue Man Group along with one musician tell about themselves and then answer questions from the audience. What a great opportunity to see who these actors and musicians are!!
The Fruit Carving demonstration and cooking demonstrations are very interesting also. See some pictures below. These demos are usually done on sea days also.
There are only 14 Ice Bars in the world and the Epic has one of them! For $20 you can go into the Ice Bar and get 2 drinks. Coats, gloves, and hats are available to wear. Bring your cameras!
A jazz band usually plays in the ‘Fat Cats’ lounge every night of the cruise. Great music!
There are two events that take place outside in the Spice H2O area. One night there is a FABBA party which is an ABBA theme night. The other is the White Hot Party. Everyone wears white so be sure to bring a white outfit! There is an awesome DJ and glow sticks light up the place!
There is usually a comedian/magician that is very entertaining. Watch where you sit or you will part of the show!
The last night there is an International Epic Crew Show which showcases the talent of many of the crew members on board. There is quite a variety of acts and you will be amazed at the talent you will see.
Children will love the Meet and Greet opportunities with Nickelodeon Characters. There is also a Nickelodeon character breakfast that is $15 a person. Bring your camera!
The Rock Climbing, Rappelling Wall, and 2 water slides are great fun. Bowling at sea is always fun also! They even have bowling shoes that you borrow. Bowling is $5 per person.
As you can tell, there are so many choices on what to do while cruising on the Epic! You will have a hard time deciding!! Or, do them all! What do you think would be your favorite activity?
