Hints and Tips for the RCCL Allure

The following are some hints and tips when sailing on the Royal Caribbean Allure (majority of tips and hints also pertain to her sister ship, The Oasis).

-Try the Zipline and Flowrider (surfing and boogie boarding) on the first day or port days when there are minimal lines.

-Be sure to go to the ‘Captain’s Corner’ where the Captain and his senior staff answer questions from the audience.

-Attend the AquaTheater Backstage Tour to ask questions of the divers and show directors… and then walk through behind the stage.

-Try Ice Skating – you need to wear long pants and socks.

-Go to the ‘Crown and Anchor Society’ guest gathering. It is very interesting.

-On the first day if the Windjammer Cafe is crowded, try going to Wipe Out Cafe on Deck 15 for burgers, hot dogs, and fries. It is usually not busy and you can eat and then start exploring the ship!
The Solarium Bistro , Park Cafe, or Sorrento’s Pizza are also available.

-The sign on each cabin door has an arrow, this points to the front of the ship.

-Royal Connect – this program allows you to call and text other guests while on board making it easier to connect with people since the ship is so large.

-The All Access tour gives you a behind the scenes tour of non-public areas on the ship. They take 15 people per tour. Cost is $150.

-Book shows before leaving to save time. You can always go to the box office on the ship though.

-RCCL makes excellent use of scanning technology. For example – they scan your seapass for the muster drill, zipline and flowrider (to make sure you signed the waiver), and to make sure you have reservations for the show.

-Try to catch the morning show on TV each day. The cruise director offers helpful information. You can also make dedications!

-There is an umbrella stand on each side of Central Park in case there is rain. Just return on the other side of Central Park.

-Be sure to enjoy at least one sunrise and sunset. They are beautiful!

-Express Walk Off is from 6:45am – 7:30am. Rhodeway Inn offers a visitor’s day rate so you can hang out at the pool or rest before your flight. They also offer shuttle pickups at the port and shuttle drop offs at the airport.

-Take advantage of the to go coffee cups in both the Windjammer and at Boardwalk.

-Best Shady Places to hang out:
–There are comfortable chairs in the back of the track. It
is a great place to relax!
–In the back of the ship on Deck 11 or 12. These are
wonderful quiet places to hang out or watch the Aqua Theatre
shows!

I hope you have found these hints and tips helpful for your next trip on the Allure or Oasis!
